Bri Cain

Qualified Mental Health Professional

My name is Bri Cain, and I’m a proud Chicago native, born and raised on the South Side. I am passionate about helping Black women who are ready to change the trajectory of their lives by letting go of what no longer serves them. I create a safe, non-judgmental, and compassionate space where you can be your full, authentic self and use your voice without fear of shame as you navigate your healing and self-discovery.

I earned my Master of Arts in Art Therapy and Counseling (MAATC) from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I am also a certified Rape Crisis Counselor in Illinois and a volunteer medical advocate. My therapy style is eclectic, meaning I draw from multiple approaches to meet your unique needs. I often use techniques from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, holistic treatment models, and expressive therapies, helping you explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in ways that feel safe and meaningful.

I feel a responsibility to challenge the traditional structures in therapy that have historically overlooked or oppressed people of color. As an artist-therapist, I aim to create space for honest conversations and growth, while supporting you in reclaiming your power and voice.

My own therapy journey began in 2018, and I quickly learned that healing doesn’t have a set timeline. Some days may feel easier than others, and progress may look different from session to session. This is normal, healing is a lifelong journey with endless rewards. I am honored to walk alongside you as you process trauma, release what no longer serves you, and step into a life that feels lighter, freer, and more aligned with your true self.

“A beautiful life does not just happen. It is built daily with prayer, humility, sacrifice, and love. May that beautiful life be yours always.”
